Planning underway for Nolans of Clontarf

Nolans of Clontarf have applied to Dublin City Council for planning permission for the refurbishment and extension of their premises at 49, 51, 53 and 55 Vernon Avenue. The proposed works were conceived with the needs of the local patrons in mind and involve the upgrade of their existing retail supermarket and shops while creating a new public street frontage by means of two new structures along Vernon Avenue which will announce the existing entrance into the Nolans site in a more visible and safe manner as the pedestrian access will also be upgraded and improved. This new street frontage will provide access to new facilities including a creche, offices and two small retail units at ground level. This proposal represents a substantial investement by Nolans back into the local community in terms of both local jobs and community facilities. Nolans are one of theResponse from the local community and councillors have so far been overwhelmingly positive.

Nolan’s sit at the heart of a fantastic community and strive to deliver the traditional values and customer satisfaction levels put in place by Paddy Nolan. To this day they are a local convenience store but with the choice and value of a great supermarket.
